According to the FAQ section, it wasn’t recommended to set the switch from “legacy” to “new version” in Outlook in 2023.
I have Outlook in the version Version 16.90.3 and would like to know if this has changed now. The main reason to use EagleFiler is to archive all my 60’000 mails, then empty outlook and change from POP to IMAP - and use the new Outlook version.
Thanks for any hint!
Martin
The latest information about importing from Outlook is in the EagleFiler manual. Currently, “New Outlook” does not support AppleScript, and Microsoft has recently pushed back the expected completion date to December 2025.
Thank you, Michael!
In this case, I could archive all mails with the legacy version of Outlook, but then switch to the new version and archive the mails there until december 2025? And then - when Applescript works - add them to the EagleFiler archive, I guess?
Yes. Or, if you don’t want to wait that long, and your messages are stored in server mailboxes, you could temporarily switch back to Legacy Outlook to do the archiving or use another mail client such as Apple Mail for that purpose.
