Here’s a new beta version of EagleFiler. The changes are:
- Worked around a change in beta versions of macOS Tahoe 26 that could cause EagleFiler to hang when opening a library.
- When running on macOS Tahoe 26, EagleFiler now breaks the application icon out of “squircle jail” in the Dock, about window, and elsewhere in the app. This only takes effect while the app is running. Longer term, hopefully Apple will change how icons are handled or we will redesign the icon.
- Worked around a bug in macOS Tahoe 26 that could make EagleFiler crash when selecting a font or when closing the Settings window.
- The system font panel is broken in the current beta version of macOS Tahoe 26, so it is impossible to choose different sizes of the system font. However, you can still do this via Terminal, e.g. using
defaults write com.c-command.EagleFiler ListsFont -array com.c-command.font.system 11.
If you have not installed a beta version of EagleFiler before, first click here to enter the beta key. Thereafter, you can just launch EagleFiler or choose Software Update from the EagleFiler menu to auto-install the beta. EagleFiler will also notify you about future betas automatically.
