When I make a screenshot, then use the Share button on the resulting small window of the screenshot that appears, then Import to EagleFiler, nothing happens. However, when I make a screenshot, save to my preferred location (in my case, the Desktop), open the screenshot and then use the Share button, it’ll properly import to EagleFiler.
Is there a way to skip the extra steps of saving and opening the file first before importing? The whole point of using EagleFiler is for me to store and file screenshots and tidbits – if I have to save them first, then I have to delete them from where they are initially saved to prevent the clutter.
I think this is because when you Quick Look right after taking the screenshot, macOS hasn’t saved it to disk yet, so the data is only available in a different format. I’ll look into whether there’s a way to support this.
I tried the beta version and now I am able to import the screenshot directly to EagleFiler. Thank you!
A related question: all screenshots imported to EagleFiler using the Quick Look share button are saved as a Tiff file. I know that I can use Terminal to change the default format of saved screenshots, ie., png, jpeg, pdf, etc. Is there a way to change the default format for screenshots imported to EagleFiler?
Currently, if macOS supplies an image (rather than a file) EagleFiler will always save it in TIFF format, but I will add a feature request to make this an option. Which format do you prefer?
