SpamSieve 3.2b1 Public Beta

Here’s a new beta version of SpamSieve. The changes are:

  • Made various changes to improve SpamSieve’s filtering accuracy.
  • Updated the window toolbar appearance for macOS Tahoe 26.
  • Added images for each menu item when running on macOS Tahoe 26.
  • When running on macOS Tahoe 26, SpamSieve now breaks the application icon out of “squircle jail” in the Dock, the about window, and elsewhere in the app. This only takes effect while the app is running. Longer term, we will redesign the icon so that this isn’t necessary.
  • The top-left corner of SpamSieve’s Dock icon changes to show the current training or filtering status, but it’s unclear whether this will be possible with the appearance theming changes in macOS Tahoe 26. Thus, SpamSieve now also shows these status changes using the system standard red badge in the top-right corner of the Dock icon. (This will only be shown if System Settings ‣ Notification ‣ SpamSieve ‣ Badge application icon is checked.)
  • On macOS Tahoe 26, the Uncertain spam messages and Spam-catching strategy sliders now show their neutral values and have adjusted tint prominence.
  • Improved the sizing and toolbar overflow behavior of search fields throughout the app.
  • Dates shown in the Corpus, Blocklist, Allowlist, and Log windows now have tooltips to show the full day of the week and time.
  • Auto-training entries in the Log now show why the message was originally predicted the way it was.
  • The Quit when mail client quits feature now works with MailMaven.
  • Updated the documentation for macOS 26.
  • Improved the following sections of the manual:
  • The Apple Mail - Rescue Good Messages script tries to work around a Mail bug that could lead to messages being moved to the trash but still marked as unread.
  • The AppleScript file property of the corpus now returns the URL of the whole corpus package (as has been documented) rather than of the main words database file.
