Here’s a new beta version of SpamSieve. The changes are:
- The Corpus and Log windows now show the message’s From address in addition to the sender’s name. This should make it easier to tell at a glance which messages are spam.
- SpamSieve reports more error information when there’s a problem opening a database file.
- Fixed a bug where a rule matching the sender’s name might not match a message if the name used an Asian character that had a different Unicode width.
- Work around a bug in Xcode 26 that could cause a crash at launch on macOS 10.13.
- Worked around some Swift Concurrency changes in Xcode 26.
- Text fields now disallow macOS 26’s Security Code AutoFill since it’s not relevant.
- Removed a workaround for an Xcode 15 bug. Please let us know if this brings back crashes on older versions of macOS.
- Improved the following section of the manual:
If you have not installed a beta version of SpamSieve before, first click here to enter the beta key. Thereafter, you can just launch SpamSieve or choose Software Update from the SpamSieve menu to auto-install the beta. SpamSieve will also notify you about future betas automatically. You can click here to stop receiving in-app notifications of beta versions.
