Hi. Using MacStudio M1 Pro - macOS 15.6.1 with Apple Mail 16.0
I just updated to SS 3.2 and changed over my remote training setup to use the new “Train messages in TrainSpam and TrainGood” setting; deleted my Remote Training rule in Mail; deleted the remote training script from the library.
Prior to this update, I was only using a single set of TrainGood and TrainSpam mailboxes in one of my IMAP accounts. After the switch, SS created additional sets of TrainGood and TrainSpam in my other IMAP accounts and left a single POP account alone. All of that is fine with me.
However, every time I start Mail or SS prunes the full message data in the log, I get errors in the log that suggest that SS is attempting to find TrainSpam and TrainGood mailboxes in my POP account.
Here is one of the log entries, either my email account redacted:
Summary: SpamSieve checked the remote training mailboxes in Apple Mail.
Error Code: -10,000
Log Entry: Error remote training from account “xxx name of POP account xxx” as spam: Mail got an error: AppleEvent handler failed.
Date Logged: Today at 8:39:27 PM
SpamSieve: 3.2 at /Applications/SpamSieve.app
Device: macOS 15.6.1 (24G90) on Paul’s Mac Studio (Mac13,2)
User: paul (Paul)
Language: English
All the errors look that same, other than the time stamp and which mailbox was involved (as spam or as good).
I did test that the remote setup was working by placing known spam emails in all of my IMAP TrainSpam mailboxes - they were moved by SS into the respective Junk mailboxes.
Ideas?
